Columbus Science Pub Presents: Anger Management: What Works and What Doesn't with Dr. Brad Bushman

Punch a pillow. Scream in the car. Blow off some steam. We've all been told that letting anger out is good for us. But does it actually help? Everyone gets angry. Anger isn't necessarily a "bad" emotion, but it can push people to say and do hurtful things. Of all the emotions we feel, it's the one people have the hardest time managing.

Dr. Brad Bushman, recently named a TED Editor's Pick, will walk through the research on which anger management techniques work, and which don't.

Brad J. Bushman, Ph.D., is a Professor of Communication at The Ohio State University who studies human aggression and violence. He edits the journal Psychology of Violence and is a fellow of the American Psychological Association, the Association for Psychological Science, and the International Communication Association. His work has been featured on CNN and Morgan Freeman's "Through the Wormhole."

Food and drink will be available from the kitchen at Shadowbox Live! Use the code “getnerdy” to lower the $8 suggested donation to $4.
